The first of only three films to win every major Academy Award, including Best Picture. And that's because the "limb is mightier than the thumb". Lovely timeless romantic comedy, one where the two protagonists never actually kiss and, go figure, all works marvellously on screen. Wikipedia tells me Bugs Bunny first appearance was in 1938, so the carrot signature gag while making sarcastic remarks can only have been inspired by Clark Gable's character in this movie. A movie that should actually be called "It Happened in Three or Four Nights".
