A inspiração dos Simpsons
"When Margaret Groening died at the end of April, her son's tribute to her in a local paper ignited interest from Simpsons fans. Margaret, who was 94, was the mother of Matt, the man behind hit cartoon The Simpsons. His obituary in The Oregonian remembered a woman who loved Double-Crostics puzzles and the Oregon Symphony orchestra, but also a mother to Lisa and Maggie, and wife to Homer. Last year Matt Groening discussed how he named his famously yellow family during an interview with the Smithsonian magazine, saying he "basically drew [his] own family". Had he known what a success The Simpsons would become, he said, "he wouldn’t have subjected my family to the humiliation of having some of the characters named after them". However, the families are now intertwined - click on our infographic to see how."
