I get it that many cinephiles and indie filmmakers found some inspiration in Mark's determination and passion to make a movie. But for me, honestly, it was all just tedious and uninteresting. The slow pacing and the repetitive nature of his financial struggles just made everything become sort of monotonous after a while and everyone involved seems a little bit too caricatured and absurd. Sadly, that becomes the focus point of the documentary most of the time instead of an insightful exploration of the filmmaking side of it and process. It was on my watchlist for more than twenty years and I can't feel but disappointed with it.
